How to care for gilding
We use sterling silver as the base of our products, this metal is the main one for us throughout the life of our production. In most models of the collection it is covered with matte gold plating, because it is the perfect match with aged amber, which has red and brown shades. Including - of course - white amber.
Electroplating is the application of a thin layer of metal to a product for its protection and beauty. But such "clothes", including gilding, unfortunately have a tendency to wear out.
Tips for caring for gold plating from Strelnik
- take off your jewelry before you wash your hands
- we understand that the color of gold looks great on a tanned body, but still, do not swim in our jewelry in the sea or in the pool
- please remove jewelry before you decide to exercise.
- store them in a dark place, out of sunlight
- Sometimes jewelry can be wiped with special jewelry care wipes to get rid of dark stains.
